The Lumia 730 coming soon

Those considering the Lumia 730 as their next Windows Phone handsets should know that the smartphone will measure 134.7 x 68.5mm and will offer 4G LTE support.

In addition, it will pack Qi Wireless charging and microSD card support has been confirmed as well, possibly up to 128GB.


The Lumia 730 certification image that leaked in China shows one of the many variants of the smartphone, namely RM-1038. However, there was another version of the device, RM-1040, that was spotted in Indonesia a few days ago, which is one of the global models of the Lumia 730.

In the same piece of news, it appears that the Nokia Lumia 730, in particular version RM-1038 that was spotted in China, may have just received FCC's approval as well.

The image taken from the FCC database shows that the phone will come with nanoSIM support, as well as NFC (Near Field Communication) connectivity. Here are the supported bands of the Lumia 730 as confirmed by the FCC's report:

“Outside of USA, the transmitter of the device is capable of operating also in GSM / GPRS 900 and GSM / GPRS 1800, HSUPA / WCDMA 900 (Band 8) and HSUPA / WCDMA 2100 (Band 1), LTE 845 (Band 20) and LTE1800 (Band 3) bands which are not part of this filing.”

“This is an LTE Category 3 device; it contains 1 FCC LTE bands, namely LTE bands 2500 (Band 7). In LTE 2500 (Band 7), the device possesses Channel Bandwidths of 20MHz, 15MHz, 10MHz and 5MHz are available.”

According to previous rumors, Nokia Lumia 730, also known as the “selfie phone,” will pack a 5-megapixel camera on the front and a 6.7-megapixel photo snapper on the back with Carl Zeiss lens and video recording.

The smartphone will be equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal memory. The Lumia 730 is expected to sport a 4.7-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution.
